Webflow provides two types of paid plans. One is a site plan (hosting) and the other is a Workspace plan. They are different things.
The site plan is simple. Each website on Webflow needs a plan. And each website is paid individually – one site, one plan.
Depending on your site you might need a Basic, CMS, Business or one of the Ecommerce plans if you’re using the Webflow Ecommerce. You can have a free site on Webflow but that’s only on Webflow.io domain and with other limitations too.
A Workspace plan is a separate feature within your Webflow account. It increases your staging site quotas and gives you some extra features that are geared towards collaboration. (Staging sites are those free sites that are published on webflow.io domain).
On a free Workspace you can only have two staging ****(webflow.io) sites. But you can have as many paid sites as you want.
If you pay for the Workspace then you get more free/staging sites and some other features like code export. That's the main difference between free and paid Workspaces.
